Septic System & Information
Septic systems are owned and maintained by the property owner. The Volusia County Health Department is responsible for issuing permits for repairs, replacements, and new installations of septic systems.
Effective December 19, 2008, no permits will be issued by the Volusia County Health Department for the repair, replacement, or installation of a new septic system in an area of town where sewer service is available.
This is in keeping with the town’s goal to maintain a healthy and safe environment for all residents and visitors.
