SUNSHINE LAW NOTICE FOR TOWN COUNCIL AND TOWN BOARD MEMBERS:
Notice is hereby provided that one or more members of the Town Council and the
Town’s various boards may attend and speak at this meeting. Minutes will be kept by
There is one contested seat in the Town’s 2018 Election: Seat 4 Joseph V. Perrone and
Joe Villanella which will be on the ballot this year. Candidates for this seat along with
Seat 2 Bill Milano will give a 3 minute introduction of themselves and overview on what
they hope to accomplish during their term.
Candidates for Seat 4 will then be asked the following questions:
1. To become more fiscally prudent, provide areas within Town government’s
budget where cuts can be made
2. If the Town eventually prevails in the Pacetta law suit, would you favor suing
them to try to recover the Town’s legal fees, or simply be glad it is over and not
incur additional legal charges?
Audience questions will then be asked of Seat 4 and they will be given up to 2 minutes
to respond. Audience questions should be submitted before the start of the event,
signed by the individual asking the question. An equal number of audience questions
will be asked of each candidate, as time allows. Candidates will then be given two
minutes for closing remarks.
After the conclusion of the formal event, a Meet & Greet will begin and refreshments will
be served. At this time the public can ask questions of the candidates or just introduce
themselves. Residents are welcome to bring fingerfoods to share also.
